Chart Patterns Explained
Every scan on StockPax is tagged with one of five chart patterns. This page explains what each one means, what it looks like on a chart, and why it matters. No jargon, no assumptions. Just clear explanations of what the price is actually doing.
Trend Break
When a stock stops following its established direction and breaks through a key structural level.
Range Break
When a stock that has been bouncing between two levels finally escapes and moves into new territory.
Break & Retest
Price breaks through a key level, pulls back to touch it again, then moves away. A two-step structural event.
Bullish Flag
A sharp move up followed by a controlled pause, suggesting the prior momentum may be ready to continue.
Trend Reversal
When a stock genuinely changes direction, not just a brief pullback but a real shift in price structure.
